Prospero Tips: Finding a Secure Job

http://www.prospero.in/dk.php
There is no such thing as a secure job these days, and even if there is, it is way below your pay grade. Today’s job market thrives on dynamism, on continuous movement. To survive in it, you must do the same, and do make sure you’re upwardly mobile while you’re at it. The question you should be asking yourself isn’t ‘How do I get a “secure” job?’ Instead, you should be finding a way to secure your future. Job security is getting rarer and rarer, but financial security is still within reach.

For this reason, you need to strategize. Don’t concentrate on keeping your job; that’s important, but it’s not your only consideration. You also need to make sure that the choices you are making right now are right for the future that you want for yourself, so keep your eyes open for new opportunities. Be wise and prudent, and getting a secure job (i.e. one that secures your future), will be no problem at all.

Prospero DK: 4 Steps to Secure Your New Job

http://www.prospero.in
How do I get a “secure” job?’ is the cry in today’s uncertain times. But you’ve probably heard that there isn’t really any such thing as a truly secure job anymore. Sadly, that’s probably true. Therefore, job security is something that you have to make for yourself; it isn’t out there waiting for you. The secure jobs that are left in the market are way below your pay grade and your notice. So take your new job and make it secure.
1.       Keep in mind that your objective is to secure not your job, but your future. No matter what the future holds, you need to have a plan: a back up for your back up, so to speak.

2.       Even if you’re holding down a steady job, make contacts for yourself in your chosen industry. You never know when they might be able to help you out.

3.       Start creating a brand image for yourself; a good professional reputation will hold you in good stead. How people perceive you is more important these days than who you really are.

4.       Ensure your financial security with carefully planned savings and a diverse portfolio of investments. It is better to save now and spend later.

The most important thing is to keep your short term and long term objectives in mind, and to keep to them. The answer to the question: ‘How do I get a secure job?’ is probably ‘You can’t’, but instead of securing your job, you can secure your future.
